2012 NBA Draft Team Grades - Central Division

Chicago Bulls: Marquis Teague
The Chicago Bulls may have arguably gotten one of the steals of the draft in Marquis Teague, another super freshman from Kentucky. Teague was ranked high on many draft big boards, but wasn't looked as highly upon as other guards like Damien Lillard and Kendall Marshall. He is quick, has an improving jumpshot, and is battle tested after his year at UK. Most of all, Chicago filled a need as Derrick Rose will be injured for a good portion of next season.   GRADE: A


Cleveland Cavaliers: Dion Waiters Tyler Zeller  
You have to give the Cavaliers front office some credit. They have don everything possible in order to try and appease the fans quickly after LeBron's "decision." After a good draft last year adding Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson, the Cavs have another solid class in 2012. Dion Waiters will be a great fit alongside Irving in the backcourt. He has an NBA body and skill set.  His ability to drive to the basket is arguably the best in the draft, and the fans will love his "pure" scoring ability. Tyler Zeller is another good pick. He doesn't have that "wow" factor, but he can be a productive player, and will be ready right away. GRADE: A-

The Pistons had another disappointing season, and it looks like this upcoming season won't be too much different. They don't have much money to spend in free agency, so they're going to have to rely on making the most of their draft pick and improving their young players like Monroe, Brandon Knight, and even Jonas Jerebko. There won't be too many small forwards to choose from at their slot, so it looks like the Pistons will be looking to draft Jared Sullinger or Perry Jones III with their #9 pick to beef up their frontcourt for years to come.
