2012 Draft Picks

Team Needs
SF, PF

The picture above says it all. The main issue for the Kings would be the logjam they have in the backcourt. They have a scoring PG Isaiah Thomas starting, alongside combo-guard Tyreke Evans who really needs the ball in his hands to be successful. To make matters worse, a pure scorer SG Marcus Thornton is in the starting lineup as well. They really need to start John Salmons at SF every game, and let Thornton come off the bench and lead the second team with his scoring and energy. As far as roster moves go, the main concern will be drafting a big man to go alongside DeMarcus Cousins, with finding a future starter at the SF position being the next priority. They should be drafting either Andre Drummond or Jared Sullinger, whoever they believe will work alongside Cousins the best. With the #36 pick, they'll take the best SF available. Either way, this team is still a few years away from making any noise.
